Post processing analysis should then be performed in the integrated central server. Traditional analog systems cannot deliver these functions, unless provided with analog to digital data conversion. The concluding remarks of the quoted article stress that setting realistic expectations is most important. It’s recommended not to believe without further inquiry all the ridiculous hype and nonsense about what Video analytics can deliver. Before purchasing any advertised Video-analytics solution one should obtain practical demonstration of the real performance in an application reflecting the needs of the inquirer. The practical realizations of Video-analytics potential will improve in time and will decrease in cost, but till then prospective customers should be cautious and test thoroughly products and methods before purchasing, to avoid costly disappointment.
