- avoid making sudden movements
- speak only when spoken to but don't surprise your attacker
- tell the robber what you are going to do and why
- don't activate alarms unless it is safe to do so
- don't set off a siren while you are under attack
- try to remain calm and control your emotions (easier said than done)
It is important to gather as much information as possible for the police, about the person that is robbing you, but doing so should not jeopardize your safety.
You should try to remember as many details as possible about the bandit and the incident information that might be helpful to the police.
Try to notice distinguishing traits of face, body, clothes etc.
Don't be a hero. It's better to lose your money than your life.
And at last give the robber time to leave while you notice the direction of travel.
