Essentially these GPS-surveillance devices include a communication channel that downloads periodically, generally on the Internet, data on location, time and speeding, assuring continuous monitoring of a single vehicle or of a complete fleet. The benefits include the immediate location of a car, whether stolen or wandering. This feature alone could reduce accidents and dangers. Besides that, the manager of a fleet of service providers can control location and availability of all vehicles for better responding to customer needs and optimal use of the capacity. Collecting proof of delivery, billing and job costing elements, time tracking for payroll, speed control, time scheduling, fuel expenses monitoring, economy of insurance and maintenance, better service and customer support are additional benefits that strongly recommend the implementation of GPS-surveillance technology to all those that can put it to good use.
